So what been happening...?
Jan. 2nd, 2004 12:30 amWhen we last saw Gareth he was hitting the road back to Southport for what was looking to be a rather uneventful generic winter festival.
Did it turn out to be that way?
Did he have any fun at all?
What has he been doing since...?
Find out in the continuation of the Life Saga of Midnight!!!
Well. I got to Southport easily enough in time, and proceeded to join my parents and four family friends out for a drink in a very full pub. Why the hell my Mother insisted on going to the Hesketh in Churchtown instead of the Fleetwood in Marshside, I really do not know. Three years ago, myself, dad and Mike Price (one of the family friends) went in there for a drink and ended up swearing never to go back on Christmas Eve again!!!
Oh well. I did buy a drink all night, even though I was more than willing to stand my round. We finally got my ever so slightly drunk mother home at around 1 in the morning at which point I decided to wrap my christmas presents
Christmas day was wierd as I predicted. My sister arrived with boyfriend in tow and her son, who just looked confused at this, his first Christmas (I'll call it that in refernce to family as my sister decided to Baptise the poor git.)
My mother pulled out a very large sack of kids toys and his eyes lit up. He doesn;t understand any of it, but he seemed to like the new sounds and lights he had to play around with.
I decided to pass out my presents to people before seeing what people had got me.
Mother recieved a crystal clock and somthing else i can no longer recall
Dad recieved Rugby World Cup in Review DVD and a Bullshit detector from the Gadget
My sister recieved money and one of those silly Magic 8-Ball things
Joshua (Nephew) recieved a stuffed dog to bite silly. (He's too young for a new Cthulhu yet)
So with my family happy, I settled in to mine.
I already knew about the Digi-Cam. I had bought it myself and my parents were giving me money back for it to give to me as a gift
I also recieved the Two Towers extended: with Gollum Statue (Go me!!!)
For some reason both my parents and sister decided that I neede more shower supplies, and shirts as well.
Was not too bothered. I can get what I want as I wish it so not caring too much
Was forced to watch World Idol though... The horror of all these annoying people on TV... And that's just the judges!!!
Boxing Day very little happened. My sister decided to break up with her boyfriend (Father of the Nephew) adn was slightly annoying.
She and my dad had their traditional row adn I got to be piggy in themiddle again. Am really starting to get bored of that now
I left Southport relatively early and returned to Manchester. I had to attend the Moot.
I was supposed to meet Silvanus at Victoria, but after waiting there for 45 mins, I decided to leave.
I hopped a tram and decided to go exchange the digi cam for a better one. I wanted one with a back screen.
I didn;t listen much to the talk, and had a chat with Firefly, Paul and Obsidiana afterwards before the pub. I was kinda tired though and in retrospect should probably not have gone the pub. I kinda crashed at a bout 10 and woke up at closing time. Oh well.
Sunday was dull and boring. I did nothing.
Monday, I was back in work, although I left at 3 as I was not feeling too good. Good job I did leave as a couple of hours later, I was being rather badly ill.
Suffice it to say I have not been in work since.
New Years Eve was quiet. Myself, Tom, Jon and Juliette had a game of LotR risk and a game fo Poker while listeing to various musics and the Jools Holland show...
Today was very little done.
That brings you all up to date.
See you on the installment of the Wierd World of Midnight
